Located in the Playa de Palma (also known as El Arenal) and facing the sandy beach, the 3 star Hotel San Diego was built in 1962 and renovated in 1996 and consists of a 10 storey main building offering 174 rooms, including 12 self catering apartments and 8 studios.
All rooms (apartments & studios as well) at the San Diego come equipped with bathroom, hairdryer, soap dispenser, direct telephone, satellite TV, central heating, safe and balcony. Please note that there is no air condition in the rooms.
Hotel guest facilities include an expansive garden, a nudist terrace on the 8th floor as well as an another sun terrace with a swimming pool with children's area, a café, a bar and a barbeque on the 10th floor. Sauna and gym are also available. The hotel also has a 24-hour reception, a safe, 4 lifts , a TV room, 2 lounges and an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area. Other facilities are car parking and bicycle garage (up to 120 bicycles).
Specialised on bikers who come to Majorca, the hotel arranges individual garaging for your bikes, from the beginning of the year, and convert a headquarters for racing cyclists and teams, organising every March a road race every weekend with the help of the "Club Ciclista Arenal".
As a plus, hotel guest have free entrance in the Tennis Arenal, also owned by the same small family chain, Grupo Canals.
