Part of the Iberostar hotel chain, the Iberostar Albufera Playa Hotel is on a prime location, just a few metres from the long sandy beach of Muro, a large beach with rolling sand dunes and fringed by a lovely pine wood, and overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Built in 1992 and refurbished during 2008, the Albufera Playa features 353 guest rooms, including 20 Junior Suites, distributed across three 4 story buildings surrounded by Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces.

All rooms at the Iberostar Albufera Playa are either air conditioned or centrally heated and come equipped with fully equipped bathroom with shower, hairdryer and eco-friendly towel change system, telephone, safety box, satellite TV with music channel and mini-bar. For those travelling with their families, there is also the possibility of adding an extra bed. Among these, all Junior Suites feature an large bedroom, lounge with 2 sofa beds, balcony, and bathroom with shower and hydro-massage bath.

Those booking on an all inclusive basis can enjoy both breakfast and dinner at the Mistral Restaurant, as well as any other meal at the Restaurant Star-Rock, at the nearby Hotel Iberostar Albufera Park. Lunch and dinner are also offered during high season on the Beach Restaurant Tamarindos. The All Inclusive option also allows guest to choose the best makes of Spanish and international drinks in any bar in the hotel complex, as well as the self-service drinks at the different buffets and in the Hotel Iberostar Albufera Playa bars.

Hotel facilities include a 24 reception with currency exchange service and luggage rooms for late departures, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar featuring a large choice of Spanish, international dishes and vegetarian menus, games room, public Internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Those on business travel have also three 3 meeting rooms and conference halls at their disposal, with a capacity of between 10 and 100 people, with full WiFi access and state-of-the-art equipment.

Leisure facilities available to guests include an outdoor swimming pool for adults and a further separate children's splash pool, along with spacious sun terraces and gardens with complimentary sun beds and parasols, as well as both pool and table tennis tables. Furthermore, children can enjoy the hotel's playground and mini club.

Among the above, the Iberostar Albufera Playa also offers their Thai Zen SPAce, Wellnes & SPA centre offering a wide range of treatments, which include yoga, meditation, eight different types of massage, facial and body care treatments and made-to-measure wellness programmes.

During high season the hotel runs its own entertainment programme, including sporting activities such as rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, followed by either live music or professional shows.
